Croyde Bay Hotel Or Self Catering

The steep sand hill back to the hotel was a struggle, especially after a long day at the beach. I ended up huffing and puffing, wishing for a flat path. Definitely not stroller-friendly, which made it a hassle for families.

Honestly nothing to complain about. Very spacious building and rooms with self catering facilities. Clean pool, parking in the hotel. Spa therapy and a hot tub were available at extra cost.

Well-equipped rooms and a lounge area, a hair dryer and a couch included. The hotel's position was perfect, not far from Croyde Bay, Braunton and nice restaurants around.

The family room was spacious and well-designed for our needs.

There was a lack of communication regarding our dining options and pool equipment rentals.

Perfect Family Getaway

The place reminded me of home with a cute garden, but we missed some kitchen stuff like bins and a few pots. Beach is super close, only a short walk. The kids had a blast with the pool and mini golf. Food was tasty but pricey, though that's about it for the negatives.

Our family loved every moment at this good retreat! The two-bedroom cottage offered cozy comfort. We enjoyed the lovely walks to Baggy Point and the clean pool, perfect for kids. Be sure to stock up on supplies before arrival and explore the nearby Kings Arms for a fantastic Sunday lunch!

The games room was a hit with the kids-epic table tennis matches! Plus, the mini golf was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Direct beach access over the dunes was fantastic, and the kids' adventure playground was a bonus.

We stayed in a family room, and it was perfect for us with a comfy bed and good shower. The kids loved the pool and the jacuzzi. One tiny drawback was the adjoining door that let us hear a bit too much from next door, but overall, it was a wonderful experience! 😊

The steep sandy climb back from the beach could be a workout, especially if you're not in peak shape, but there is a flatter path available if you don't mind the extra distance.
